There are reports that Bayern Munich have signed for Liverpool, Raphinha, from Leeds United. The Brazilian is expected to join the Bundesliga giants for € 50million.
Raphinha was at the top of Jurgen Klopp’s transfer list, with Liverpool showing great interest in him last summer. The Brazilian’s agent revealed Liverpool’s decision earlier in the year but was happy to wait another year for his signing.
The very talented winger has been a remarkable performer in the Premier League since joining the West Yorkshire squad. Although Leeds are not playing at the level they set last year, Raphinha has always been the shining light this season.
As we get closer to the January transfer window, speculation surrounding the signings is increasing. However, according to Sports journalist James Pearce, Liverpool will not be active there. Bayern Munich will not, as new reports suggest.
If the information is true, it is a huge disappointment for the Reds. Raphinha looks certain to come to Anfield next summer having already chosen him last year.
Wherever the Brazilian ends up he will be a success. Although Bayern Munich have plenty of options in the front row, Raphinha has the ability to go straight in. Bayern Munich are making a statement with the signing, especially making it in January.
