This amount is estimated to be around £ 300,000 per man.

FA bosses have faced a financial nightmare since the coronavirus hit, with all major sponsors demanding reductions in their contract terms as a result.

The stoppage of play and empty stadiums meant the governing body was unable to meet contractual obligations with each sponsor regarding tickets, corporate events and player activation.
