Blueridge MFB reassures its customers on the continuation of business operations

In light of news circulating on social media and other microblogging websites about lending platforms abusing the rights and privacy of their customers, Blueridge Microfinance Bank Limited, a leading microfinance bank and owner of Flexible, Low Interest Microcredit Applications: Easemoni and OKash reassures its esteemed customers of continued business operations while reaffirming its unwavering commitment to better serve its customers.

In a statement released by the company and seen by BrandCrunch, the company in an effort to quell the tense business environment occasioned by the highly publicized Joint Task Force (JTF) raid by the Federal Competition Consumer Protection Commission, FCCPC, in collaboration with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission, the ICPC, the National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA and the Nigerian Police last Friday stated, among other things:

“Blueridge Microfinance Bank is fully functional and available to respond to customer inquiries and complaints as we remain committed to our goal of empowering Nigerians and fostering economic/financial inclusion. Blueridge Microfinance Bank will continue to help people by providing essential financial services through technology and data-driven methods.

“We fully comply with Nigerian micro-credit laws and regulations, duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission and licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria; continue to operate a tested, reliable and secure lending platform in Nigeria. Our business model is opposed to unlawful and unfair treatment of customers at any stage of their loan repayment; we adopt the highest standards of professionalism and cordiality in all our dealings,” he added.

In conclusion, the self-signed statement affirmed that the management of BlueRidge MFB wishes to inform its valued customers and the general public of its “ongoing partnership and collaboration with authorities and other stakeholders to address issues circulating in the media space”, promising to “properly end all speculation as soon as possible”.

It should be recalled that EaseMoni and Okash are two of the online lenders recently cracked down by the JTF-led FCCPC, allied government regulatory agencies and the police.
